On May 23rd, Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Jackson (the 2012 Tournament of Roses President) came to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit the Needham B. Broughton High School Band. Their visit starting off with a southern-style BBQ dinner with all band members and families, then they visited various area landmarks including the State Capitol, Governor's Mansion, Duke Chapel, and Wallace Wade Stadium. They finished their visit by presenting the Tournament of Roses flag to officially invite the band to march in the 2012 parade. 

Just as we were honored to be selected for the 2012 parade, we were honored by their visit. We appreciated the chance to let them meet our students, show them our great city, and get to know them a little. The slide show below shows some of the good times they had with us.
